Compared to the competition, it's lacking. Needs to enable UWB, compass directions, and location history. Also should allow user to drag and rearrange the order of trackers in the list. I had to factory reset my Pixel Buds Pro 2, became location for the buds would not update for a week. They were stuck showing 50 miles away, despite the app recognizing that they were nearby and in the case (case showed as being here at home).

Google Find My Device far surpasses the other device locating apps and software I've used. Apple's 'Find My', the Tile tracker (and others), just can't compete. The locating tone is louder and more distinct, the tracking capabilities are more versatile and extremely accurate, you can install and use the app from other devices, and best of all - it's straightforward and easy to use. I've been a loyal iPhone user for as long as I can remember, but lately, Google's got me questioning my loyalty!

For years now, this flippin' app has gotten less functional with almost every major update. Now, it did get a LITTLE better with the last major overhaul. It's at least functional now, so that's nice...I guess. That said, you really need to put the north-south-east-west leveling/reset button in the upper right like it is on LITERALLY every single map related app you make. I mean, that's just horrible design language—and from one of the top tech companies in the world. Hilarious.
